All modern heating systems and all plans for future heating systems are designed to get most efficiency out of as little energy as possible.
Condensing boilers work more efficiently when they are supplying and receiving low temperatures.
Air Source Heat Pump
Air Source heat pumps are a fantastic future heat source but will only supply around 55 degrees to your radiators or heat source.
Hydrogen boilers will be kept safer by lowering the kilo wattage used and keeping temperatures low to your system.
How to Prepare
The best way you can prepare your house is to insulate as much as possible and then supply as much heating surface as possible. Underfloor heating is the easiest way to achieve this; using a temperature between 21-50 degrees. Another way to do this is to increase the sizes of your radiators to supply the same heat out put at a lower temperature.
Some ventilation in properties is essential to allow the structure and occupants to breath but most modern properties are sealed to keep heat in and keep the property more efficient. Older properties would benefit from sealing all draughts and gaps in doors and windows. Also some air bricks and ventilation may have been from old gas appliances and may be able to be removed completely (please get professional advice before blocking any purpose made ventilation).
